I would say as has been said here though ,it really is not needed to squeeze it closed. Just enough pressure to squeeze the crack closed. the clamping does not have to be OVERDONE so as to not squeeze dents into your outerwood. Again nothing to be overly concerned about.

I see its cracked as well at the rear tang area too. you can put the nozzle right at the crack and squeeze it right into the crack and flood it into the area. I kinda prefer the gel type as its abit thicker. I have an m91/59 with a second refurbished crossbolt installed to increase the strength. Yes very common ,I have a few stocks with this same crack. I have never used a screw as the Super Glue has always seemed to hold. Very fixable rifle and can be shot safely in my experience. I don't use Elmer's but use a very thin brand or grade of super glue but that is just my personal choice and nothing more. No problem with that as I have done many of them with just that. The problem he might have with this is I believe the crossbolt is located right in the middle of the crack. I shoot a T-53 that the wrist was cracked almost into on and with glue and screws it is the strongest part of the stock.SBP It shouldn't crack anymore, but might need some small screws inserted from both sides. Remove excess glue and Leave it like that 24 hrs. Now remove the screwdriver and use clamps with cloth or felt on the outside of the gun, not to leave impressions. Use Elmer's wood glue and a toothpick and poke all the glue you can get in the crack.
